ABOUT SAN ANTONIO DECKING

Locally owned and operated. Built for this climate. Serving Bexar County homeowners.

Our Story

BUILT IN SAN ANTONIO, FOR SAN ANTONIO

San Antonio Decking was founded in San Antonio and has served Bexar County homeowners for 10 years. We are a residential deck building company — we don't take commercial projects, and we don't work outside a market we know. San Antonio is where we live and where we build.

That means we understand the specific conditions that affect deck performance here: the UV intensity that makes sealing schedules critical, the Hill Country soil conditions that affect footing design on sloped lots, the Bexar County permit requirements that vary by jurisdiction, and the HOA norms in San Antonio's master-planned communities that govern what structures are allowed and how they must look.

We work exclusively in residential outdoor living — custom wood decks, composite systems, pergolas, outdoor kitchens, and deck repair. We don't do interior work. We don't do fences. We do decks, and we do them well.

"We don't rush builds to get to the next job. We schedule specifically so that doesn't happen."

How We Work

OUR VALUES

Quality Craftsmanship

Every deck is built to the standard we would want for our own homes. That means proper fastening systems, correct joist spacing, flashed ledger connections, and code-compliant railing installations — not shortcuts.

Honest Communication

We tell you what the project actually involves, what the real material trade-offs are, and what maintenance will be required after we leave. We don't oversell and we don't hide problems we find.

Respect for Your Property

Daily site cleanup. Tools organized, not spread across your yard. Landscaping protected where possible. We treat every property as if it's ours.

On-Time, On-Budget Delivery

Written timelines before any work begins. If something changes the schedule, you hear from us immediately with an explanation and a new completion date.

Local Knowledge

WHY LOCAL MATTERS FOR DECK BUILDING IN SAN ANTONIO

San Antonio's permit process is not simple. City of San Antonio building requirements differ from unincorporated Bexar County. Some master-planned communities require HOA approval before any permit is submitted. Setback requirements vary by zoning. A contractor who doesn't work this market regularly can misquote a project, pull the wrong permit, or start a build that needs to be re-permitted — all of which becomes the homeowner's problem.

Hill Country adjacent lots in Helotes, Boerne, and northwest San Antonio have soil conditions — caliche, expansive clay, and rocky limestone — that affect footing depth and type. Getting this wrong means a deck that shifts or heaves within a few years.

We know San Antonio's market because we work in it every day. That's not a marketing claim — it's the practical difference between a deck that's built right and one that isn't.
