When designing an outdoor kitchen into a deck, we plan the framing to accommodate the additional weight, route electrical conduit through the framing before decking is installed, and coordinate plumbing rough-in with a licensed plumber. Gas line installation is handled by a licensed master plumber — not a deck crew.
For kitchens added to existing decks, we assess load capacity first. A full outdoor kitchen can weigh 2,000–4,000 pounds — significantly more than a deck was typically designed for. We'll tell you if the existing structure needs reinforcement before proceeding.
